The Scoop Week30th April 2024

It was lovely last week to see so many families from all year groups at the Year Six Bingo Fundraiser. A huge thank you to everyone who helped with the event either being a part of the amazing organising team or by donating money. We are so lucky that through fundraising we can, each year, bring the cost of the year six school journey down considerably—we really hope that this is something that we can continue todo for years to come.

Here are this week’s announcements:

Reception Cake Sale:

This Friday, the 3rd,the reception parents are organising a bake sale to raise funds to improvetheir outdoor area in particular to fund a water play station. You can see the poster here.

Year Six Fundraiser- Bracelet Sale:

On Friday, 10thMay, Y6 will be selling handmade bracelets and keychains on Friday lunchtime to raise money for school journey, on Friday 10thMay from 12-12:30, these will cost either £1.50 or £2 each. There will beanother jewellery sale on Friday 10th May at 3:30 in the playground for parentsand children.

Year Six Bingo-message from Ms Savvides:

A massive thank you toeveryone who supported our Year 6 Bingo fundraiser. We raised just over £2000-all of which will go towards School Journey and other Year 6 events. A veryspecial thank you to the following people: Fay, for organising the whole event!Natalie Frances, Loyola and Andrew for cooking a delicious chilli and more.Kate and Nathalie for selling tickets. Charlotte for organising the bingomachine and all the strips and for working on the door. Simon for managing thebar and Danny and Maud for doing all the washing up! Finally, a huge thank youto our very entertaining host of the evening, Jim North. It was a fantasticnight for a great cause.

Sports Update:

Last Wednesday, theboys team had an absolute thriller of a game against St Mary’s. The teamstarted very strongly notching up a 3-0 lead with superb strikes from Eliot, Kymanniand Dorian before St Mary’s very skilful players scored 2 quick goals - leadingto a nail biting last five minutes! Well done to all the boys and well done toHector for winning player of the match for demonstrating excellent defensiveskills.

 

Rescheduled FOL Meeting:

Last Thursday’s FOLmeeting was rescheduled to this Thursday evening on zoom. Details will be circulatedin the WhatsApp groups as normal.
