As part of the Charter Schools Educational Trust, Lyndhurst Primary School is proud to call itself a Flexible Working Ambassador School. This offers staff at the school the option of flexible working patterns.

You can find the details of The Charter Schools Education Trust Flexible Working

policy on their website or by clicking on this link Flexible Working Policy 2021-23 .

Lyndhurst Primary School believes that flexible working can increase staff motivation,

promote work-life balance, reduce employee stress, improve performance and

productivity. We know that we may not always be able to offer parity between job

roles but will ensure that our process is transparent and fair to all staff regardless of

their job role.

At Lyndhurst, flexible working for all staff looks like:

  • 2 wellbeing half days per year
  • Ability to request authorised leave during term time for personal/family reasons
  • PPA at home where appropriate
  • Two-week half term holiday during Autumn Term
  • Minuted meetings

In addition, the following flexible working options can be discussed with Tom (on

the understanding that the needs of the school are prioritised and

balanced with the needs of the member of staff making the request).

  • Part-time teaching staff
  • Job share
  • Flexitime/Lieu time
  • Staggered hours
  • Staggered weeks
  • Compressed working
