Year 2 enjoyed a wonderful workshop with Mark, author of Look Up At Bedtime — and a Lyndhurst parent! 💚Mark, who lives in Camberwell, has a background in astrophysics and previously worked as a professional astronomer. He now brings together the universe “out there” with the universe “in here” through mindful stargazing.During the session, children:🌍 Felt Earth’s gravity through their own sense of weight☀️ Explored the Sun’s light and energy🌙 Heard the Aztec myth Nanahuatzin Became the Sun, Tecciztecatl Became the Moon✨ Sent wishes of kindness on beams of sunlight and moonlightThe workshop sparked wonder, supported wellbeing and introduced scientific ideas in an imaginative, age-appropriate way.
