The Scoop Week 12th December 2023

https://youtu.be/Xp4QE6tSDgQHello Lyndhurst Family,

I can’t quite believe that this is the penultimate week of the term, where has the time gone! I wanted to update you on some work you will see taking place in the playground, we have a leak in one of our plant rooms that has resulted in us having to do some emergency excavation. We had hoped that the work would be easier and completed in a day but it wasn’t to be, we are still identifying the extent of the work but the year five staircase, one of the new toilet cubicles and some classroom sinks are all out of action for the time being. We do still have sufficient toilets and handwashing locations to remain open and hygienic.

Here are this week’s notices:

Term Dates:
As the term draws to an end can I remind you all that we break up on Thursday 21st December at 1:15pm. We return to school on Friday 5th January for a full day of teaching.

Your child’s phase leader will be communicating with you via the WhatsApp groups about the Winter parties taking place on the 18th December. Please remember that we are a nut-free school and that we have a number of pupils with severe food allergies.

Home School Agreement:
In January we will be asking all families to commit to our home school agreement, using ‘My Child a School’. This is a set of statements that each key stakeholder within our school agrees to fulfil (pupils, staff and families). Our staff team have been working on the home-school agreement over the last term. You can find a copy here, we would welcome and feedback before the end of term. We will be sharing this with pupils and families in January.
